KTM has started the domination of super sport category bikes in India from its launch of the RC 200 and the RC 390 bikes. A new variant in the same category has been announced which follows the same path and is named as the KTM RC 250. The quarter litre bike features performance with a blend of economy.
Design & Style
The KTM RC 250 shares the same design as the other RC's but shares its white side body with the elder RC 390. The ground clearance and seat height remains the same as on the older RC bikes making it clear to the riders that choose your performance option, the style would be complimentary for all the models. One body, different souls!!
Engine & Performance
RC 250 has a 248.8 cc engine producing nearly 30.7 BHP @ 9000 rpm and 24 NM of torque @ 7250 rpm. The single cylinder, liquid cooled unit also uses the power assisted slipper clutch with anti-hopping technology. The engine is a lightweight unit, with 37.2 kg weight and also is classified as the strongest unit in its class. The making quality of the KTM products is a strong positive impact maker for the company. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Brakes & Suspension
The braking for the front is handled by a 300 mm disc brake with 4-pot brake caliper and the rear is managed by a 230 mm disc with 1-pot brake caliper. It inherits its 43 mm upside down WP suspension for the front and a WP suspension at the rear from its ancestors.
Comfort while Riding
The new RC 250 offers the same comfortable racing position, making it ideal for track use and side by side also for the normal road challenges. Quick acceleration and high speeds can make you feel different from the regular day crowd and wasting time on roads will become history soon
